Do they often show french movies in theaters over there?
In the province of Quebec they do. If you are in Montreal, you can have both English and French movies. Unfortunately, much to my chagrin, this is not the case for the most part in the province of Ontario. In Northern Ontario, this might be the case since it’s closer to the border. I had the chance to see Entre les murs on the plane.
Thankfully, there are some French channels on TV.
There’s only one french channel available on cable here — TV5 — I don’t subscribe to this channel. Used to be free for a couple of months a long time ago.
We have TV5 here too. I think TV5 is a free channel, but in many countries, you can only have this channel if you buy a package which makes it not free.
Here you have to subscribe to the channel individually as it doesn’t belong to a package unlike some other cable channels …
